Hexahedra Puzzle Hunt at Enclave 1

Easter, and therefore Enclave 1, is only a few weeks away. I've already announced a pre-event contest for folks who are coming, but I'm also going to be running a mini puzzle hunt at the LAN, and once again there will be prizes!

The premise is simple — Octavius is in trouble, and he needs your help. Not only are there problems in Dantar's cube fab, but Octavius is expecting another visit from his "mother-of-law". He'll be visible around the venue in five different places, each with a different puzzle.

As you can see from the poster, this is an official part of the LAN, and you'll be able to earn LANium to drive forward the event-wide ARG. But there will also be some Hexahedra-specific prizes for helping Octavius.

  • The first person to correctly solve all 5 puzzles will win a free copy of Hexahedra on Steam.
  • There's also a prize draw for a Hexahedra gaming mat and a mug. Each puzzle you solve gets you one entry to the draw, so even if you don't solve all five you're in with a chance of winning some loot.

Not only that, but I now have Octavius in sticker form. For each puzzle you solve, you'll be able to come and collect a sticker. Solve all five and I'll throw in a Sidequest Ninja as well:

The puzzle hunt will start at 10am on Friday 18th April, and end at 12 noon on Sunday 20th — even though this is the Easter weekend I expect some folks won't be able to stay until Monday, so this will mean the draw can take place while pretty much everyone is still around.

As well as tracking down Octavius, some of the puzzles themselves have physical elements you'll need to find. The rest you'll be able to do entirely online.

In order to submit an answer, you'll need to join the Sidequest Ninja Discord server and send a private message to the Octavius bot, which will let you know if the answer is correct.

So, I'll be spending some time over the next few weeks building some puzzles, and I hope to see you there! In the meantime, the full terms and conditions are here.
